While it had humble beginnings as a homemade prototype, in July of last year, Scott and his friend and fellow guitarist, Luke Higgins, teamed up with electronics engineer Neil Garner to help recreate and fine tune Scott’s original design.

The prototype has been a regular part of Scott’s pedal board since he built it in 2005, and now you can order one of the new versions for yourself. Before you do, you can take a listen to the sound, and see the pedal in action. There were only 50 of the SM Fuzz Pedal produced, so pick one up today.

An Update From Scott http://scottmckeon.com/2010/11/26/an-update-from-scott/ http://scottmckeon.com/2010/11/26/an-update-from-scott/#comments Fri, 26 Nov 2010 23:14:49 +0000 Coordinator http://scottmckeon.com/?p=158 Hi guys,

Thank you to everyone who made it out to see us out on the road opening for Glenn Hughes. The shows were a huge success and a lot of fun.

Over the last few months I’ve been pretty busy playing guitar for a few other people, both live and in the studio and I’ve been writing and recording some new material that I’m very excited for you all to hear.

The next shows coming up are happening in the Netherlands this January. For the show in Zoetermeer, the band and I will be doing a set along with Jan Akkerman.

DATE LOCATION VENUE
Jan 07/11 Zoetermeer, NL Cultuurpodium Boerderij
Jan 09/11 Weert, NL De Bosuil Muziekcentrum

I’ve also been working on building some copies of my fuzz pedal and I’m currently in the process of getting some prototypes made up – we are looking at doing a run of 50 once we have those. The fuzz is going to be an update of the original fuzz face, with germanium transistors and a few small changes in the circuit.

Trouble and Can’t Take No More are available to buy in our shop, and on iTunes and CD Baby. Remember, when you order through our shop, you’ll be getting a signed copy.

Keep checking back for upcoming shows and other updates.

Scott
